How does payment with Mobile Money work?

When you enter your Zambian mobile phone number (Airtel, MTN, or Zamtel), our secure Lipila gateway sends an instant proximity push prompt directly to your handset. You simply unlock your phone and enter your Mobile Money PIN. Once approved, the digital license is issued immediately.

What if the MTN Mobile Money prompt doesn't pop up?

On MTN networks, if your phone screen was locked or timed out, dial *115# on your MTN line, select Approvals / Pending Orders, choose the Lenga Store transaction and enter your secret PIN.

Can I pay with Visa or Mastercard?

Yes! Select 'Visa & Mastercard' during checkout. You will be securely routed through Lipila's 3D-Secure payment processor where your bank sends an SMS one-time password (OTP) to finalize your order.

Reading Experience & Offline Storage

Can I read offline when I have no internet data?

Yes. Lenga Store is built with a Service Worker and offline chapter cache. Once you open a book in your browser, the pages remain saved on your device so you can continue reading on a bus, during power outages, or outside data coverage.

Will my reading progress sync across my phone and laptop?

Yes. As long as you are signed into your reader pass, your active books, exact chapter, and reading percentage sync with your account whenever you are connected to the network.

Desk Passes & Book Lending

Understanding borrowing limits, loan durations, and discounts.

How do Lenga Desk Passes & Subscriptions work?

A Desk Pass gives you active borrowing slots (e.g., 2 titles for Students, 5 titles for Individuals) with unlimited monthly turnover. Borrow a title, read it, and return it anytime from your Account page to immediately free up your slot for your next book.

Do I get a discount on book purchases if I subscribe?

Yes! Active Individual and Annual pass holders receive an automatic 10% member discount on every permanent book purchase across the bookstore.
